As an accomplished Firefighter and seasoned athlete with over six years of experience playing professional basketball overseas, I am dedicated to serving and empowering the youth. I have a heart to serve and my life is based around this principle. I am passionate about helping others and have volunteered with various organizations throughout my career, both as a basketball player and a firefighter but more importantly as a human. I currently serve in a few capacities. As a Lieutenant in the San Francisco Fire Department, I am actively involved in recruitment, public education, outreach, and community events. In addition, I serve as the Vice President of the San Francisco Black Firefighters Association, an organization which tirelessly fights for equity and inclusion.
I proudly serve as the Executive Director at the San Francisco Fire Youth Academy. Empowering the youth to see and understand that they own the future brings me joy. My background in firefighting, program management, and organizational leadership allows me to effectively develop and implement strategies that advance our mission and goals. I am committed to ensuring the financial stability and sustainability of the organization through fundraising and development, while maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. My experience in maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, effective leadership and coordinating with other organizations makes me well-suited for this role. I am honored to lead the San Francisco Fire Youth Academy in equipping and inspiring the youth to become the future leaders of our community.
