The San Francisco Fire Youth Academy is a community-based organization which uses the construct of the fire service to provide high school students with life skills, mentor-ship, and career pathways.

We are a project of the San Francisco Black Firefighters Association. The SFFYA is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes social justice. Our mission is to provide youth development programming, resources, and opportunities to the youth of the San Francisco. We seek to re-energize and strengthen communities by the development and empowerment of our youth. Our dynamic team consists of fire service professionals, educators and youth development practitioners. Our immediate objective is to equip our students with the necessary tools and life skills to be instrumental in society.
